Description
Written by Martin Collins and Norman Birch.
A Walkers Guide to the Isle of Wight covers many short walks and longer trails to be found on the Island. The Isle of Wight has some of the finest countryside walking in the UK, with much to offer whatever your ability.
The Island measures only 13 miles by 23 miles at its widest point, yet can provide variety and interest for both the long-distance walker and for those preferring shorter walks. There is an excellent infrastructure of footpaths and bridleways, and each route in the guide has a full description and a sketch map.
The guide is arranged in five sections, covering the ten best Island walks, eight official trail day-walks, the 71 mile coastal path, the Vectis 8 Trail through the inland countryside and 12 selected short walks.
